National Home Security Month (NHSM) is back for 2015. Now in it’s third year, NHSM has been designed to create awareness around the importance of home security. It officially takes place during the month of October when clocks go back and evenings start getting darker earlier.
Crime statistics show that there is actually a 20% increase in burglaries during Autumn & Winter as criminals take advantage of the longer, darker nights with a reported surge in burglaries during early morning and early evening. October 25th is the date this year the clocks go back an hour so put it in your diary!
The NHSM website offers seasonal tips and home security advice throughout the year, helping to protect the nation’s homes, families and possessions.
